Our Environmental Goals
- Reduce our carbon footprint
- Improve energy efficiency within all common parts of the centre
- Promote the reduction, re-use and recycling of our waste and focus on waste minimisation
- Ensuring safe and efficient storage and disposal of all waste
- Educate all stakeholders
Fareham Shopping Centre is proud that it is achieving 0% to landfill and has seen increases in recycling streams including glass, cardboard, and dry mixed waste recycling. Items that cannot be recycled are used by our waste contractor partners to support renewable energy. A phased replacement of lighting to LED in the mall areas and back of house has achieved a 19% reduction in energy consumption since 2019.
