The Mayor will flick the switch at 5.30pm under the bandstand, joined by the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime characters from Fareham Live.

There’ll be funfair rides, festive food and drink, gift stalls and walkabout performers, plus free kids’ activities in and outside Fareham Shopping Centre all day, and a special visit from Father Christmas.

It all runs from 10am to 7pm, and more details are on the Council’s website  www.fareham.gov.uk/christmaslights
